Head Coach: Angela Anderson Hurt

Coach Anderson Hurt I am originally from Sweetwater, Tennessee where my parents and older brother and his family still live today. I came to Georgia by accepting a full scholarship to Georgia State University. I played all four years between 1993-1997 at the university and then graduated in 1998 with an undergraduate degree to teach high school social studies. I began my teaching and coaching career at Woodland High School located in Cartersville, GA. At Woodland, I was an assistant for the fast-pitch softball team, volleyball team, the head girls golf coach, and the varsity assistant for basketball. In 2003 while at Woodland I was able complete my Masters in Education Administration. In 2004 when Alpharetta was in the process of opening its doors I was hired to be the head girls basketball coach. The last six years here at Alpharetta have proved at times to be some of the most challenging of my life with starting a new basketball program but I can also say that it has also been some of the most rewarding years of my life. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here at Alpharetta as I have been able to watch our program grow each and every year. This year already has been one of the most exciting for me personally as I married Coach Fredrick Hurt on October 17th. Coach Hurt is also the boy’s basketball coach at Alpharetta.

JV Coach: Keisha Iton

Coach Iton You can call me Coach Keisha or Ms. Iton :)...not only am I the proud coach of the Alpharetta High School Junior Varsity Girl's Basketball team; I am also the proud Guidance Counselor of students with last names Cle-Gree...(LOL). Prior to my illustrious beginning at AHS, I obtained my Bachelors Degree and played college basketball at St. John's University in New York (Big East Conference baby)! I moved to Atlanta Georgia in 2002 to pursue my Masters Degree in School Counseling at Clark Atlanta University. Upon completion of my Masters program, I was hired at Alpharetta High School in 2004 and the rest is history. I've been blessed to work at such a great school, and to coach such a great group of girls each and every year that I've been at AHS. The sky is the limit this season! Let's go Lady Raiders!
